Hopefully you were able to join me for “The Mental Health Moment” on St. George News Radio (93.1 FM) that aired on Sept 30th on the subject of Mindful Parenting. We had a great discussion about what mindful parenting means and that it can fit into any faith or philosophical tradition. One powerful practice we discussed was to stop to notice your senses–to stop and really look at your children, to hear them, to feel them close to you. Often our minds are so FULL of other things that we are focused on future plans or worrying about past events. Instead, let’s reconnect with the present moment and enjoy our kids NOW!
